Heidi Noyes

Owner and Director at Broadway North, from a very early age Heidi knew she wanted to teach dance, growing up in Elaine Quinn’s dance studio, competing and helping out whenever she could. At age 16 she spent two summers attending training in New York City at Dance Educators of America, and became a certified dance instructor. Heidi opened her studio at age 18, with Mrs. Quinn’s blessing and guidance and then toured Nationwide with Dance Caravan “Caravan’s Kids” as a teacher’s assistant over the summer of 1993. Over the last fourteen years, her solo and group competitors have won various State and National competitions with Dance Olympus, Dance America, On Stage America, Star Quest, Headliners, Creations Dance, Star Bound, Dance USA, NYLA, and Miss New Hampshire Pageants. Students from Broadway North performed in the 1998 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and each year, are given the opportunity to perform in Holiday Shows, local festivals and parades, Miss New Hampshire preliminary shows as well as the Broadway North Christmas and spring recitals. Heidi was named the over-all talent winner at the 1997 and 1998 Miss New Hampshire Pageants. She competed for the title of Miss America in 1998 and completed her year of service as Miss New Hampshire 1998, where she was the recipient of over $37,000 in scholarships while competing. Heidi enjoys attending master classes wherever she can and performed from 1999-2006 with the cast of Miss New Hampshire Dancers and just this year was asked to co-choreograph for their annual show in April. Heidi accepted the challenge and had a blast! She resides in Gilford with her husband Marc and their 3 year old son, Trey. On October 1st, 2008 Heidi & Marc welcomed their new baby girl Anya.

Shannon Tripp

Shannon began dancing at the age of six, under the direction of Jennifer Beauvais-Reinhert at NH School of Ballet. She then continued her extensive training in ballet, jazz, and tap with Heidi Sullivan-Laroche at Dance Visions Network in Manchester, New Hampshire, where she performed various solos in productions such as The Nutcracker, Beauty and the Beast, Oklahoma, and many others. Shannon was also a part of the competition and performance team which would perform throughout the state of NH, and which was asked to perform at the MLS Soccer Championship 1999 half-time show, alongside performance artist Christina Aguilera. Shannon also choreographed for the musical theatre program at Manchester High School West, including such shows as Fiddler on the Roof and You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown.
Shannon has been a teacher and choreographer at Broadway North since 2005. She teaches competitive ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. Shannon resides in Belmont with her husband Jeremy, sonsDavid and Daniel, and step-daughter Megan.

Christy Dunn

Dancing since the age of 3, with both Elaine Quinn and Heidi Noyes-Bourgeois, Christy has been a teacher at Broadway North for seven years. She was a member of the UNH dance team for four years and a 2005 graduate from the University, Christy came to Broadway North as a full time teacher in 2005! Christy has also competed and held various Miss NH America preliminary titles, and competed in the State program four times. This year she was asked to co-direct the Miss Merrimack Valley/Granite Sate Scholorship Program. She also competed in the Miss USA pageant in October 2007 where she was first runner up. Students at Broadway North enjoy Christy’s instruction in Pre Ballet, Adult Tap, Beginner-Advanced Tap and Jazz, and Competition Jazz. Christy was a member of the Manchester Wolves “Lady Wolf Pack Dancers” in 2007. Christy became Miss New Hampshire USA 2009 and competed in the Miss USA Pagaent in Las Vegas, NV in April.

Leo Donahue

Leo has been dancing for over twenty years. He has been a teacher for fifteen years and formerly owner of his own studio City Dance in Manchester. His competitive students have won various titles and over-all awards. Leo is the recipient of many choreography awards for his innovative Jazz, Modern and Lyrical pieces. During the competition season Leo acts as a Judicature for various competitions nationwide. Leo was the choreographer for the 2003 Performance team of 96 dancers. This was Leo?s first year at Broadway North, and Leo is excited for the 2007 season where students will be seeing much more
of him, as Manager of the Competition Dance Teams. In his spare time he enjoys taking master classes throughout New England. He resides in Derry with his wife and three daughters.

Phyllis Drennan

Phyllis comes to Broadway North fom NYC where she has trained with notable tap and jazz instructors such as Lynda Gache, Phil Black, Michael Owens, Gus Giordano, Frank Hatchett and Celia Marta. She studied ballet with Anastasia Brusnitsyna, Nadia Zhivotenko and Robert Christopher. She has taught work shops at St. Paul School as well as Boces Culturial Art Center and has worked with several dance organizations. Her stage work consists of – Hello Broadway and 42nd Street. She has choreographed the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as well as a portion of the 1996 Super Bowl. Phylis has had students go on to perform professionally in Stomp, Swing, Tap Dance Kid, Tap Dogs, The Gene Kelly Story, Disney World Japan, Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. We look forward to having Phyllis share her knowledge and enthusiasm for Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop with our students again next year.

Amy Wool-Ketell

Amy Wool-Kettell returns to us from Massachusetts where she became the first graduate from Dean College with a B.A. in Dance. At Dean College, she was a member of the Dean Dance Company, the Dance Team, and Dance Cabaret, where she performed in the musical production of “42nd Street”. Her awards include the Gregory Hines Tap Scholarship, the Carrie Grant Chilson Award for Excellance in Music and Dance, Dean College Trustees Award for Dance and the Franklin School for the Performing Arts Showcase Scholarship. Also, she has resided in Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, and Boston where she has trained with well know instructors such as Gus Giordano, Adrienne Hawkins, Savion Glover, Mike Minery, Brenda Buffalino, LaVaughn Robinson, Drika Overton, Josh Hilberman, and Diane Walker. She has been a teacher and choreographer at various dance studios throughout Maassachusetts. She is also a former student of Elaine Quinn whom she studied under for 15 years. Amy is excited to be back in New Hampshire and looks forward to the 2010 dance year.
